Join me for a unique experience across ancient and modern Jerusalem. Together, we’ll explore the city’s rich history and the diverse faiths that shape it. Wandering through the magical alleys of the Old City, we will tour its four quarters—Jewish, Muslim, Christian, and Armenian—and visit sites holy to the world's three major monotheistic religions: the Temple Mount, the Dome of the Rock, the Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the City of David, the Garden Tomb, and more. In my view, the best way to experience a culture is through its food! We’ll stroll through the Old City's Crusader markets to enjoy authentic dishes and drinks from exquisite Arab cuisine: black coffee, hummus, and traditional pastries and sweets. We’ll also explore Mahane Yehuda Market, Jerusalem’s vibrant central market, where we can indulge in the rich variety of Israeli cuisine. Beyond the Old City, Jerusalem offers a captivating array of sights. You can join me to discover the Shrine of the Book at the Israel Museum, home to the Dead Sea Scrolls; Mishkenot Sha'ananim, the first Jerusalem neighborhood built outside the Old City walls with the help of a Rhode Island philanthropist; Musrara, the neighborhood where the Israeli Black Panthers movement emerged in the 1970s to fight for civil rights and social justice; as well as Mount Scopus, the Mount of Olives, and Mount Zion, adorned with their iconic churches and monasteries.
